I have a friend that is trying to find info and pictures of the Flint Island Lighthouse. Her grandfather and dad were lighthouse keepers of this light. Flint Island is located about 13 miles off the coast of Novia Scotia. The family lived in Port Morien near Glace Bay. She remembers being there as a child. Her grandfathers name was John Martell and Dad's name was Ken Martell.

Hi Millie;I have just checked my listings of Nova Scotia lights. There are many lights around the shores the Nova Scotia preservation society has Flint Island on the listing of lighthouses but no info or pix.It is off of Cape Breton where Glace Bay is located.Let me send a few Emails and maybe I can dig up some more info and see if there are any pics available. As a Kid I spent some summers on cape breton at my grand fathers. It was a little village called Petit De Grat I had some good times there. There were a few Martell families there.I will let you know soon as I can get some info.
