After being off-limits for 132 years, the doors are being opened to the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse this summer. This is a really good article that gives tour information and tells the saga of how we finally got to this point. Wow! Imagine actually going inside! A Chance to Step Into a Postcard Judy

I see the cost to visit is $70.00 per person, does anyone know how much of that is going to the upkeep of the lighthouse?? if any ?

Tours begin today! Nice article from the Baltimore Sun that includes some history and what the the "tour taker" will see. Also includes a photo gallery... Open for a Closer Look To answer Mark's question, the $70 per person covers insurance, the charter boat trip and tour. That makes it possible for the partnership to break even. Judy
