Last weekend, we went to Grosse Point light and got quite a surprise: the ceremonies for Grosse Point's National Landmark status! Even though we couldn't climb the tower due to the crowd, we did get to go down to the beach for some pics
. Also, we bought the book and had the author sign it (in his office upstairs in the keeper's quarters, which is a sight rarely seen, (I think, since it was closed off.) All in all, it was a great day, with a souvenier postcard to commemorate the event (which made me think of Rod
).
