A friend of mine who lives in North Carolina and who knows I am a lighthouse "nut", recently sent me a copy of the May 2000 issue of a great magazine called "Our State: North Carolina". This issue is their annual lighthouse issue and it has some great photos and articles about N.C. lights. The articles are written by Bruce and Cheryl Roberts amongst others. It is an excellent magazine and would be worth getting a copy if you are interested. According to the info on the back of the title page, they sell individual issues for $3.95 (current issues). As an expatriate Tar Heel The “Our Sate” Magazine is one of my favorite things to get in the mail. My Grandmother always sends them to me about two months after they come out. I haven’t seen the May 2000, but I remember the May 1999 was an excellent look at the North Carolina lights. Now I have another reason to go visit her, next time I go Home!!

I have enjoyed that issue very much. It will accompany us to the Outer Banks this weekend. A signature from the Roberts would kick it up a notch.

The Our State magazine was truly a good edition. I was in Hatteras and then on to my folks who have a subscription. I have read and reread.
