One of my "Wish List" lighthouses for many years has been Cape Romain, S.C. and now its come true! We took a plane flight over it back in '94 and I wanted a figurine of it ever since! If I won "Pick a Lighthouse to be made by Harbour Lights," this would have been my number one choice! It has been mentioned in this thread a few times over the years and I would say Harbour Lights is listening! Of the current list of new ones, which ones were on your wish list?

Cape Romain and Absecon have both been on my wishlist for awile now. I am especially happy with Cape Romain and the fact that they did both towers. I took a boat tour out there last summer and absolutely loved the light.

Now if HL would only make Cape Charles....

Bryan, were you able to get on the island? I would love to get closer to these two lights than from a plane! Does anyone know if it's possible to get on the island at Cape Romain?

Cape Romain is one of the few southern Lighhouses that I haven't been too.
Since you just can't drive up to it, it is one of those lighthouses that you make the vacation trip focusing on just that lighhouse. I like to know more on how to visit this one also.

Looks like wishes do come true and that many times we can see the desires of our lighthousing hearts in a HL sculpture. Cape Romain was one of the best boat trips I have taken..except, we couldn't get on the island..BUT "Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" because you can get out to the lights....I have all the info at home and will see that it is posted when I get back in July. What fun it would be if we planned a trip and all were on the same boat out.

The Southern girl is "just plain tickled" with these that are on the list....just a good thing the wedding is over....

Wishes do come true! I have plugged for Bullocks Point, RI for 2 1/2 years and have had wonderful support from those who said they would buy it. My first post on the wish list was on my grandaughters 2nd birthday (11/18/99). I am truly amazed that my wish finally did come true and am looking forward to not only Bullocks, but for many others on the fall list. THANK YOU HARBOUR LIGHTS!

Derith, it has been a dream of mine for years to be able to get "up close and personal" to Cape Romain! Wouldn't it be great to get a group of us together for a trip out to these great lighthouses!

Okay, we will do just that. Let's talk about it when we are Chicago. I will talk to my husband and see if he can find the info and email it to me.

My wife and I will be in Charleston July 23, 24, and the 25th. I sure would like to see this light. I would really like any information on how to either get on the island or view it by boat.
