They are and I will have Tony's list updated. We have it correct in the other thread. I think Tony was just responding to questions about the others to Harbour Lights recently.. I will also check with Bob to see if they still have any Huntington Harbor and Cedar Island LLOM left. I am pretty sure most of the LL Thomas Point Special Edition (numbered) LLOM were spoken for but I will check if I can with the Calvert Museum.

I don't think many collectors were aware of the DeTour Reef LLOM which I believe was sold at Alpena last year. Sue and I didn't go to Alpena last year as we went on a different trip and I just learned of it later on and contacted Tony and got the contact number. The latest Legacy of course had nice articles about two of the latest special editions to be released, LL175 Hunting Island, SC and LL303 Blackistone, MD.

The first round was the 1st 50 and they all went to members of the Society there, before the article was published in the Legacy. The ones shipping now will be the ones ordered in June and since then..

Forum Title: "Wish List"
Explanation: I'd like Harbour Lights to make this lighthouse!

Please tell me if I'm out of line here, but this Wishlist forum is for posting your Harbour Light wishes for replicas that are not currently made. Should this thread be moved to the Harbour Lights General Products forum?

Please don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying Paul's pics, but it does seem appropriate!

Just my two cents !!! laugh

I personally don't have a problem with Tony posting it in this Forum but it could also be moved down to the other Forum and I wouldn't have a problem with that.

I have always felt that we have way to many Forums in the Collector Forums, all we really need is 3 Forums.

1. Harbour Lights
2. Real Lighthouses
3. Nothing To Do With Anything

IMO, I like the forums the way they are. I would even add a forum for LLOM collector discussions. We have one for Limited Editions and one for Anchor Bay.

I don't recall much being written about LL289 Sand Point MI. Does that one have a limited edition size and/or special stamp on the bottom?

That's an excellent photo of Blackistone LLOM Exclusive!

Thanks Paul!

I love this piece...... I only hope that Harbour Lights seriously considers to make a full size LE of this lighthouse.

Can't wait to see the lighthouse in September during the MD Lighthouse Challenge! Bring it on...

I received my Blackistone LLOM Exclusive a few weeks ago during the MD Lighthouse Challenge!

The HL replica and the actual replica blew me away....

I loved talking to one of the members on the board as to the construction of the Blackistone light in 2008 and was amused at the ingenuity of the lantern room being made out of aluminum and truck-liner spray to keep the total weight bearing down on the house lower, not to mention a crane able to lift the lantern room. Great Job!

I was sorta disappointed, or should I say "puzzled" as to why I found several LLOM exclusives in the store at Piney Point Lighthouse that had numbers much lower then what was available when I ordered them back in the Summer. Needless to say, I couldn't resist purchasing the No. 23 that was staring at me...

My wife and I had a great time volunteering during the challenge on Saturday and visiting all of the southern MD lights on Sunday! Anybody who hasn't seen the Blackistone Lighthouse replica in St. Mary's County, MD really needs to put effort in seeing this lighthouse with you own eyes. You'll be amazed!

I reserved my LLOM Hooper Island, Md last week and got my auto ship number. As it was explained to me all low numbers will go to personnal with auto ship accounts. Does anyone know if this is something new and how it's going to work? The other LLOM exclusivies I got my number was not reserved, nor did the other different lighthouse societies know about this.

I'm part of the Chesapeake Chapter and I didn't know about it until it was published in the last Legacy. Unless I missed it, it has not been announced in the Chesapeake Chapters journal, "Chesapeake Lights" as of to date.

I am extremely happy about its release .... and can't wait to see it in person!

Got a question. I purchased a little light Cape Romain SC at the Mole Hole gift shop in Myrtle Beach last week and it has Proof stamped on the bottom of the piece. Of course no one that worked there new anything about it. Is this a artist proof? I have never seen the word proof stamped on any little light. They had another one just like it. If anyone knows let me know.
Thanks Hal

I'm a CCUSLHS member too, and nothing in either the latest Chesapeake Lights, or the News Flash that went out a few days ago...

I've cut back on my custom issue LLOM buying, but I think I'll be getting this one...some great memories of that light...

Does anyone know anything about the next NELL LLOM in their series? I got Race Point and put down my deposit for the set but have not seen or heard anything about the next one in the series.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

I just added the last custom LLOM that I had been missing from my collection.. It was a special LLOM that was commissioned to honor the Marv Theut's of Alpena, MI on their 50th Wedding Anniversary..

LL299 Middle Island, MI

If you are interested in purchasing one or more you will need to get in touch with Mike Theut at

captmike@core.com

Mike is the boat captain who runs the tours out to Middle Island Lighthouse. All of the proceeds from the sales go to the Middle Island Lighthouse Restoration Fund..

If you need more information about the lighthouse go to their website..

This is a neat idea!

I didn't see it immediately, but upon looking further I noticed the wedding couple....

Paul, can you post a picture of the bottom of LL299. Is there a special stamp?

Can you please tell me when LL299 Middle Island, MI began available. As I look back at the previous threads and the Custom LLOM list, this one was not listed.

This was made available a couple of years ago at the Alpena Lighthouse Festival.. Marv was one of the main forces behind the Festival for years and the restoration of the Middle Island Lighthouse.. The house (building) part is owned by the Theut family and the tower by Friends of Middle Island Lighthouse a chapter of ALF I believe..

Sue and I missed going to the festival the year it was offered for sale, so that is why I am just know getting the LLOM.. Mike said that they still had some for sale and that the funds will go to supporting the lighthouse..

His email is captmike@core.com

I sent Mike a check for 2 LLOM for the very reasonable price of $50.00 which included shipping. He had me make out the check to MILKA or Middlle Island Lighthouse Keepers Association.

As I remember, Marv and his wife hosted their anniversary celebration reception at the Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival for invited guests and gave many Middle Is. LL away at their special event to their guests. Thus, Marv made a special request of HL for the wedding figures on the piece.

I think this is still the only LL ever made with human figures on it. Also, Marv donated one for the festival's public auction that year.

Middle Island light is still an active aid to navigation and uses solar panels to help. The fog signal building has been fixed up as a place to stay on the island overnight. Captain Mike takes people to the island with his raft for a fee. He leaves from the mainland north of Alpena.

The MILKA (Middle Island Lightkeepers Assoc.) is still much in need of volunteers and funds to help restore the Keeper's dwelling. The State of Michigan regulations required them to spend thousands of their precious funds just to build a special docking facility on Middle Island.
Please help if you can!

Your wish is my command, no special stamp but the preacher and the wedding couple say special in front of the lighthouse...

There is an error on the back stamp, which I guess makes it kinda special..

It says Wisconsin instead of Michigan..

The box has Michigan..

There was 500 of the Middle Island LLOM commissioned.. When I informed Harry and Tony of the error, they both answered me that this was the 1st time that they had heard from anyone about the error..

A+ WackoPaul for your keen observation and bringing the state error to our attention. I could only locate one of my Middle Is. LL and it has the same error too. I don't remember us noticing this a couple of years ago at Alpena when we got it. I'll bet Marv wasn't happy about Middle Is. being in Wisconsin!! I think he won the right to pick a HL piece to be made at the GLLF auction one year.

And, Harry signed mine at Alpena too and I don't remember him mentioning the error.

Thanks for the info about the celebration, Max, we had been to Alpena for the 3 straight years before that. We had a conflict and we have a conflict this year, otherwise we would be going to Alpena's Lighthouse Festival.

Some of our favorite lights to visit are up that way. Sue also enjoys the Fall colors on the trip which are always ahead of the colors here around Indy, so we get two Falls that way..

And two trips for the price of one--color tour and lighthouse tours. Many lights are open and expecting visitors during the festival and aren't that far apart so you can do several. We plan on going every year unless something important and unexpected comes up.

We need everyone to put in the good word with Tony that HL should continue to support the Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival as much as possible even though times are tough and he was very disappointed in the turnout for last years HL events in Alpena. I was very impressed with HL's support last year!--especially sending Harry and sending special HL items for the auction.

While discussing the Middle Island Little Light HL299 custom error, I was thinking that this might be only the second LL error piece (and only custom) besides HL123 Point Arena, CA (had state as "Carolina"). Does anyone know of any others??

Max, all of the Middle Island LLs will have the same error since it was one single run. I believe the LE Middle Island was Marv's choice.
