After the ones are made from the states who have none, I'd really like to see HL make Point Cabrillo Light Station.

Michael and I had the pleasure of spending a full day at the lighthouse two years ago. It made us heartsick to see this little beauty in such disrepair. We set about researching and found out about a planned renovation program and now it is well under way. She has a certain wonderful charm. After all, she held our interest for a full day. And she was in terrible disrepair at the time.

There is a small inlet next to her where the sea lions will put on a show for you and look back to see if you are watching. If you get a chance to visit the light, check out these little clowns if they are still hanging around.

You can find the Point Cabrillo's webpage regarding the renovation and more at http://www.pointcabrillo.org/ and the local paper has a great picture of the removal of the tower. You can see it at: www.mendocinobeacon.com .

And for those of you who are in that part of California, they need helpers. We really wish we were not all the way on the other side of the country. we'd be there.

We are thrilled to see this little beauty brought back to life.
