As many of us know, in 1934, the LV-117 was rammed and sunk by the RMS Olympic, one of two sister ships to Titanic. (The other one was Brittanic, converted to a hospital ship for WWI before use for passenger transport, and sunk by a mine in the Mediteranean.)

How about a replica of the Olympic inn the moment before it hit the little 117? Or, one of the ship off thee lightship, as illustrated in this photo ?

I don't know what series this could be...a gone but not forgotten?

What's your input?

I don't know, Seagirt. I don't think Harbour Lights is planning a "marine disaster" series. I felt we were very fortunate yo get one Nantucket LS produced.

Two issues here - I agree with Bob that I don't think HL would be interested in depicting a marine tragedy such as this. The second issue, and one that also affects all those that want a replica of the Mackinaw, is that I believe BY has stated before that they can not scale down a ship that large. Maybe technology will allow it some day, but apparently not at the present. (Think about it - the largest AB replica is what - the 110' Tybe?

I wasn't thinking the whole ship...just the lower bow hull...maybe up to the name "Olympic"?
