In answer to a question from the audience at one of BY's presentations in Edison, he acknowledged that Harbour Lights has plans to do the Statue of Liberty (yes, it was a lighthouse). What do you think? I for one would like it - perhaps as a special 'Millennium' Year feature?

Maybe they could introduce yet another material to their repertoire.......a gold foil torch!

What a great idea! I predict it would be the fastest sell out in Harbour Lights history. They'd have to issue Certificates of Redemption to ensure every Society member could get one. Move over New Point Loma.

Does anyone now where I can find more information on the Statue of Liberty? I had heard that the statue was a lighthouse but didn't really believe it. My interest has now been tweaked.

I would agree with BuyGlass. I think that these pieces would be a little out of place with my collection as well. As always though, being a Harbour Light piece, I would have to at least give them a serious look.

With a subject which seems to be as controversial as this one, I can't see how HL could be anything but a winner by its (or their) introduction. If I recall there was some doubt both Execution Rock and Alcatraz, and they seem to be doing well. And, oh yes, I don't want to froget Hilton Head the lighthouse that is/isn't a lighthouse? A little diversifacation never hurts and makes for a great conversation piece. Which is why I added a non-HL Vicente to my collection

Didn't know there was any "doubt"
or hesitation to make Execution Rocks.
Does anyone know what the doubts
or concerns were?

I live near this extremely interesting
light. Harbour Lights did an amazing
job of replicating it. Great detail.

Lois
