My wish is that the 2002 Harbour Lights calendar is of Digger's paintings.

Wonderful idea Joanne! To add to that list, maybe it could be of either endangered lights or lost lights. KYKEEPER - Pat

Great idea Joanne but I think it may have to be put off a year or two. I believe that at least the 2002 calendar will be Mark Sherman paintings, and I am sure that contract was signed long ago. Jim Johnson

I'm glad to hear that the 2002 calendar might be artwork. I appreciate the replicas of paintings so much more than the photos. I can wait until 2003 for Digger's calendar.

It would be great to see Digger's talents displayed in the form of a calendar but I must say that I enjoy the photographs which are on the present HL calendars also. Maybe a mixture of various artist's and photographer's works would be nice. "Keeping The Flame in New England" Ron

I have mixed feelings about what appears on a calendar. I have a tendency to lean towards photos of lighthouses rather than prints and works of art. I enjoy the real thing on calendars. On the other hand, I would prefer prints or works of art framed and hanging on my walls. The most important thing to me is that the thing depicted in the art work is an actual place that really exists. I have no need for paintings of fictious lights. When it comes to paintings or prints of lighthouses, real is good and fictious is not good. But that's just my humble opinion. Bob

I like all the different lighthouse calendars available today. Numerous types contain some very beautiful photography but for me, I miss the artwork of the earlier HL calendars and happy that they are going back to that style. Also, I agree that Digger has a wonderful talent but I am a big Mark Sherman fan and I hope he continues to be featured on upcoming editions. Kaiz

I'm still waiting for the calendar with Bill holding the limited edition light with the real lighthouse behind him. Paul Brady has only a couple more photos of Bill to shoot to fill a calendar.

There are at least ten different calendars available with photos of lighthouses. Photos are nice and can take a lot of work to get the right shot, but IMO, heart and soul go into a painting. I may take a minute or two to look at a photo, but I can spend half an hour looking at the details depicted on a painting. I can honestly say that I always received questions and comments from coworkers regarding the HL's calendar of Mark Sherman's paintings, but I don't remember one person commenting on the 2000 HL's calendar.
