There has been a lot of wishes posted under the topic of "Wish List". Please post which wishes you actually think will come true in 2004. Please just post three.

Here's mine:

North Light, Block Island, RI

Cedar Point, Long Island, NY

Owl's Head, Maine

There's a good chance we'll know the first half of next year's lineup when the final Legacy of the year comes out. Then we'll know who predicted correctly.

No predictions except for mine so far. Maybe people don't think wishes come true?

I would love to see
Owls Head, Maine
The North Light on Block Island
and one of the two Lights that have recently been relit in Vermont.

Windmill Point or Isle la Motte

Besides Colchester Reef, Vermont has had very little presence on the HL scene.

If you like surprises on the latter two would definitely be a surprise.

Kim was at our club meeting today and revealed the first half releases for this year and showed us pictures of each.

**Don't read any further if you do not want to know what the new releases are.**

The new releases are:

- Race Point, MA
- Cape Flattery, Wa
- Roundout, NY
- Little River, ME
- Indian River LSS, DE
- Coast Guard Buoy Tender
- Misipilion, DE smile
- Fresnel Lens 5th order-- the one from Hereford Inlet

All are edition sizes of 5500 or less.

There were also several GLOWS she told us about, but I can't remember all of them.

Thanks for sharing that info, Bryan. I'm quite pleased to see Race Point in the mix. I bet Chris and Maria out at Collector's World in Eastham, Massachusetts, will be extremely pleased too. Race Point and the Three Sisters of Nauset are close by and will be good sellers for their store.

AAARRRGGGGGG!

We were sick and missed the club meeting. The day I've been waiting for since I first discovered Harbour Lights, and I miss it! (My first post ever on this forum was under 'Wish List' asking about Mispillion)

So, the question is Bryan, in what condidtion did they sculpt Mispillion?

Talk about 180 degrees?!

When Bill is out on the road at the club meetings, Kim is telling him NOT TO SAY ANYTHING about the up-coming pieces.

When Kim takes his place, she takes along PICTURES!!

LOL

Thanks for the info Bryan.

When you say Roundout is it the current cream colored brick lighthouse or one of the previous ones?

Isn't it really early for HL to be making public 2004 releases? I guess like John's comment, I'm used to Bill being closed-mouth, hush hush about this stuff.

I believe Hereford Inlet was equipped with a Fourth Order Fresnel Lens, not a Fifth.

Bryan, can you go back and check the info you got from your meeting? Maybe we'll discover something else about this lens to be introduced.

We've already had a Fourth & a Fifth. I'm still hoping for that First Order Fresnel!!!

I forgot to mention that the lens will have brass doors and will actually open up.

Larry- Mispillion looked like it was depicted in its full glory.

Sue- Kingston was depicted in its current color

Kim also mentioned that Three Sisters will be depicted more on the scale of Turkey Point rather than Navesink. It will be depicted in its current setting with trees and all. I got the impression that he keepers house would not be included.

Turkey Point has a length of only 7 inches at its longest dimension. That seems to be a small area for Three Sisters to reside on.

Heard that the 3 sisters will be pictured as they sit today - without a keepers house. Distance between them will not be proportional to the size of the lighthouse, but they will be on one base.

I'm sure that HL will do this one justice as they do with most of the scuptures they make. Looking forward to seeing this one and several of the others on the list. Hopefully the photos should be coming out soon, seeing that the list is out.

Well, I was kinda hoping for a little relief from the amount of LEs in 2004 but I guess not. We have 8 for the first half, 2 reunion pieces, 1 in-store event piece, 1 Society piece, 1 Christmas piece and probably 8 LE pieces for the second half of the year. That will make according to my calculations around 21 pieces if I haven't missed anything. That's only down 1 piece from last years 22 LEs. Guess the old MC/Visa with be seeing action again. The new pieces all sound great, especially the CG Buoy Tender! I sure hope it's a 180' WLB or a 157' WLM.

Well, whether the new lens will be a Fourth or a Fifth, to have it open up so you can see inside! WOW!

I can see how The Three Sisters could be depicted on one base without it becoming huge. For example, look at how HL654 was depicted with the tower showing to be very close to Mark Twain's home.

I'm sure it will be done very nicely, and we will love it.

John's post is correct. I asked Kim if it would be the size of Navasink, and she said no. And she held out her hands and said this big. Can you picture it. It's probably close to 9-10 inches. She also said the gold piece would be one of the Sisters alone.

And, as I remember it, she said a 4th-order lens, and as Bryan said, it will have brass door that open.

Bryan left out that Ludington Peir light in Michigan will also be a LE. It and Misapillion will be the only ones I purchase since they are the only ones I have visited.

Kim also mentioned that HL will be a presence at several lighthouse events next year besides the two regional events already discussed elsewhere. She said they plan to attend the Door County, WI lighthouse walk and hope to have a special piece for that event. She wouldn't say what that piece would be.

I saw the picture of the the Three Sisters Event Piece for 2004. The Three Sisters are depicted as they sit at their current location in a field with trees about 3/10 of a mile from Nauset Light. The piece looks good. I will look forward to adding it to my collection next year.

I like the sound of the special editions for certain lighthouse events. I'd like to see only small limited quantities to make them really special. Was anything mentioned about the Society pieces?

Almost sounds like only one tower with a lantern room from Bob's description.

Kim said she doesn't like towers "with their tops cut off", so all three sisters will have lantern rooms. I didn't see a photograph of this piece at our meeting.

Robert,

I hope you're right. It would make sense to have all the lantern rooms in place, even though they are no longer that way.
