Does this count? Saw it on the PBS series just this week. Built in the mid-1800's or so. Interesting, cable construction. A lot like the Sanibel Is., Fl. I think this one is in WI.

Whitefish Point is located near the mouth of Lake Superior in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

As Todd Shorkey notes in another post, it marks the harbor of refuge at Whitefish Bay to which the Edmund Fitzgerald was heading on November 10. The light was out of service that night.

Here's Mark Wagner's photo:

It has been rumored for more than a year that Harbour Lights is working on Whitefish Point MI.

Sorry about the state mixup. I hope your right on the possibility of HL doing this one. I'll have to make an exception to my collection strategy. After seeing that PBS special, I'd like to go up there to check that part of the country out - but, this time of year, probably not.

If you get a chance to visit this lighthouse you won't be disapointed. The keepers quarters have been restored recently and it is open for tours, all except for the tower as it is still a operating light. There is a museum located there also with a large display items and information regarding shipwrecks on lake Superior and a few items from the Edmund Fitzgerald. Also on display is the first order Fresnal lens from White Shoal light on lake Michigan.

I agree with Mark: Whitefish Pt should be high on everyone's list to visit. I saw it this summer and it is a stunning piece of work. The restored keepers quarters and the museum are first rate. And that 1st Order lens from White Shoal is awesome!! I really hope HL plans to produce Whitefish soon - they certainly have the technology to do the tower and I'm sure their sculptors are up to the challenge for the buildings & grounds.
