Whatever happened to the "Winner's Choice" program? I'd enter hoping to win each year so I could have Eastern Point made as my choice. Is it "alive" or has it "passed-on".

That was never carried over from the previous owners of Harbour Lights. This was the younger family doing and it stop when ever Harbour Lights was sold.

I would love to see it's return. A great way for Harbour Lights to get more collectors enthused!

The program was a definite plus for Lighthouse friends. Some of the lights picked would of never been made or were very far down the todo list. I think it brought a freshness to the selection process. I also hope it can return.

Oh boy, Paul must know something we don't! I agree, it would be nice if it was brought back and continued.

Yep I also like the idea. Could think of a few lighthouses to make, that would not be made otherwise. And I could imagine it would attract people to collecting, if they thought they'd have a chance of this kind of input

It would/will be great if HL brings the "Winner's Choice" program back to life!

I thought about that when we gave our input earlier this year. I didn't realize that Winners choice was no longer in effect. I will still contribute my thoughts & ideas but it just made it more tantalizing/exciting thinking that is was still ongoing. I too, hope that Harbour Lights would/will bring it back!

The "Winner's Choice" was a chance for faithful collectors to possibly pick a future HL. As some of you have stated, it's a great way to have a lighthouse replicated that may not have been considered as a future limited edition. Yet again a similar opportunity was offered right here at the CF. It was called the CF Exclusive. Nominations were accepted, a small group were chosen as finalists, and the membership got to vote for the light of their choice. The latest CF Exclusive has yet to sell out even though it is a wonderful replica and only 500 were made. Hopefully, the CF Exclusive will sell out by the end of the year opening the door for another potential exclusive in the future.
Will the potential of a sell out exist in a "Winner's Choice"? I'm sure Harbour Lights will be asking the same question before they go ahead with the replication of what may be a light they would not have considered otherwise.
Bob

Harbour Lights in 2009.. Harbour Light .... Collectors' Choice One of them will be a piece that I asked for several times! Only those who were in New Orleans know what piece that is!

All of next years releases are coming from the "help" post that Tony put on the forums and lists that collectors sent in to him. That means all are winner's choice pieces next year..
The 2 Society lighthouses for next year appeared on over 20 collectors lists.. I would say that is Harbour Lights listening to their collectors!!!
