We all know what is posted at the Collector Forums can influence future releases from Harbour Lights. It doesn't happen over night, but it can eventually happen. We have witnessed this many times. Could it just be a good guess? Could it be the luck of the draw? What I would like you to do is without taking time to think about it, what was the first lighthouse that came to mind when you started to read this topic. The only requirement is that this particular light cannot have already been produced by Harbour Lights as a limited edition. What one lighthouse would you like to see released as a limited edition in the future. No deep thought! Just type out the name of the first lighthouse that came to mind. Bob

I'll vote for Wood Island, Maine and/or any other MAINE lighthouse not already produced, like Winter Harbor (hint hint)

Five Finger Islands, AK with a CG helicopter on the pad I really like the USCG helicopter idea! Maybe that will happen one of these days. Bob

I hadn't replied with the first light to come to my mind until now. I cleared all thoughts and then put the old gray matter in gear. The first light(s) that came into my mind was the "Chops", better known at East Chop and West Chop on Martha's Vineyard. I cannot estimate how many people have viewed these lights since the beginning of their existence. It's got to be over a million. Most everyone that goes to and from the Vineyard on the ferries see those lights. I would also be willing to bet that a small percentage of that group may have even visited the "Chops". I always pictured these two lights being replicated together and sold as a pair. I once had the thought that they could be made to interlock, which would be a first and a definite challenge for Harbour Lights. I suppose the better thing to do would be to release them individually sometime in the future. Let's face it, these are popular and well known lights. They are not obscure in any way. Odds are you will see the both of them sometime in the future. Bob

I think East Chop would be neat if it were done in it's "Chocolate Brown" phase!

Governor's Light - Little River, SC. It is seen by many daily as you enter/leave N Myrtle Beach on the Hwy 9 Bridge over the Intercoastal Waterway, boating down the Intercoastal Waterway or by visiting the Coquina Harbour in Little River. It is also facsimile lighthouse like Sea Pines (Harbour Town)and has a resemblance with black stripes instead of red stipes. http://members.tripod.com/~lighthouse1998/governors.htm

My first impression was of Hilton Head only in black and white stripes. I've never seen that light before. Bob

Here is another link with more pictures: http://beachbum.homestead.com/Lighthouses/SouthCarolina/Governors.html It can be accessed by driving to the end of Lightkeepers Village from Hwy 17 N and there are also some nice views from Coquina Harbour that has Umbertos Italian Restrurant. There is a nice boardwalk beside the lighthouse where you can watch shrimp/fishing boats going to and from Calabash and lots of recreational boats on the Intercoastal Waterway. http://www.coquinaharbour.com/
