Maybe someday Harbour Lights will make this replica:

Since they released a Canadian tower with helicopter, Haut Fond Prince, maybe they will release a US texas tower lighthouse with a USCG helicopter. I vote for the Ambrose.

Collectors pushed for a "texas" style tower years ago, but the intricate metal work would make the piece practically cost prohibitive (especially today with the cost of pieces going up and the sizes are getting smaller and smaller).

I believe it was for either the Diamond Shoals, NC or for the Chesapeake, VA towers back then.....

I still would like to see one made though it was priced under a $100.

You could also add Frying Pan, NC to the list.

Maybe in a LL set if a regular size would be cost prohibitive.

There were two popular "Texas Towers" off our coast here in southern New England:

Brenton Reef Tower(Once just off the coast of Newport RI, demolished and gone forever, no replacement.)

Buzzard's Bay Entrance Tower (Demolished and replaced with a much smaller version. Tower was approximately 10 miles due south off the coast of Westport MA.)

I vaguely remember suggesting them as a Harbour Lights replica.

The link to the pic of the Ambrose tower I included was of the original tower. It was hit by ships so many times it had to be torn down. The new one is much smaller. The original had more detail and character, that's why I'd like to see it made into a replica. The Diamond Shoals, Chesapeake, and Buzzard's Bay towers would also be good choices.

I think a replica could be made and sell for around $100. Doesn't seem as intricate as the Carysport Reef piece.

I'd like to see Ambrose under $100.

Would be a cool one, but I don't see that one for under $100.00
