Thought I'd share a few pics of a recent HL repair I did for a recent Ebay purchase of the Key West GLOW. The piece was missing it's ventalator ball, so I decided to make one out of Crayola Model Magic and paint it with my Delta Dreamcoat paint set. I have now done about a half dozen repairs to HL pieces. A big thanks to Rich(Flacoastie) who told me about the Crayola clay and Dreamcoat paint. They are great to work with.

Here's some pics.......

Loon - Looks REAL good. BoBO is the one that told me about the crayola clay so I can't take credit for that. Another little trick to replacing a ventilator ball is to get yourself a variety package of different size wooden beads. Get the right size beads and super glue it on to the lighthouse tip. Just use the crayola clay to create the belt under the ball and it takes only minutes to replace a broken ball. Then paint.

Looks really good. I haven't had to fix any of mine. I hope I don't have to, I don't think I could and have it turn out right.

I've got a couple of older pieces that I picked up that could use some minor touch up.
I Googled Delta Dreamcoat and the closeset I came up with was Delta Ceramcoat. Where does one find Dreamcoat?

Ernie, Typo in my post, it is Delta Ceramcoat. I got mine at a local Michaels Arts & Crafts. Don't know if they are in Florida as well, but I would bet most arts & crafts stores carry them.

Rich, your right, Bobo did also point me to the Crayola clay & Delta paint!

Bobo, Sorry about that, it won't happen again. wink
