From the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a couple lighthouse themed articles.

14-must-visit-lighthouses-around-the-united-states

and

seven-lighthouses-around-the-country-stand-guard-over-rocky-cliffs-and-sandy-beaches

The photography is really good!

I'm probably late to this party, but YouTube has a bunch of Lighthouse Virtual Tour videos. Enough to keep feed our Lighthouse habit for a while!

Have fun!

Every now and then I'll pop through and catch one or two that may be new.

Ancloate Lighthouse just released a virtual tour and it has Eric Sharp as one of the stars. Anclote Key video

For some reason could not edit Eric's post to make the link work. The link above will take you to that video.

The video is nice and gives a good overview of the lighthouse and Anclote Key. Thanks for sharing, Eric.

A really nice video with some images of the lighthouse in years gone by and a segment watching the lens move.

Take a couple of minutes (alright, 12 minutes and change!) and give it a peek.

Thank you Eric and Dave for posting the Anclote Key Video. I hope you all enjoy it. It was a fun shoot and the editor did a great job putting it together. It feels weird watching myself in a video on youtube.

Stumbled across a channel on YouTube that has lots of videos of cargo ships, big cargo ships, arriving at the Duluth Harbor. Most of them have views of the two breakwater lights, North and South.

Try this one, there are people surfing the lake waves! Surfs UP! The Gales of December in Duluth.

There is a webcam from the lighthouses too - Duluth Lighthouses Webcam

All the best,
Rick

Well, if I've read things correctly, this is the first posting of 2022! How odd is that?

If you fire up your favorite web search engine and look for 'lighthouse webcams' you will find many, including (hover your mouse over the next two words that is the link) Live-Beaches which has an extensive list of lighthouse, or coast line, webcams all along the US coasts.

Helps deal with these chilly and drab winter days!

All the best,
Rick

Lots of interesting cameras for all sorts of watching. They could keep you occupied for a few minutes! Thanks for again sharing, Rick.
