Watching some old, quality television - a 1977 Wonder Woman episode. I am about 99% convinced it was at least partially filmed at Point Vicente, CA. The tower and nearby buildings certainly look right. If I could get a good look at the lantern room I would be 100% certain.

What other lighthouses have you recently seen in television or movies, or even print?

Update - I went and searched for info om the episode and it was indeed filmed at Point Vicente. Really funny part is that it is supposed to be on an island in the Bermuda Triangle.

So instead of going out on Saturday night you watch Wonder Woman on "ME TV"! It must bring back memories of your "snoop time" in the Navy.

Out to dinner and back. Picked up the show about 10 minutes in. Its as good as a lot of the current shows. Pick up A-Team and Hooker. It is interesting to see how things have changed over the years. Big thing is that Point Vicente is still the same which is why I was able to pick up on it right away. In movie land, the bad guy blew up the "island" and lighthouse at the end of the show.

Last week I was watching an old "Monk" episode. The show is supposed to take place in San Francisco. In a scene on a boat the Los Angeles Harbor Light was clearly in the background.

Hollywood never was really fired up about actually having the right light show up. East coast light on the west coast? No problem. West coast on the east coast? No problem. I would probably wonder what was going on if they got the light in the correct location.

Noon news today showed a story about a surfer taking on an 80 foot wave in Portugal (notable because it is the tallest wave someone has survived . . .) Anyway, when they panned back for a wider view there was a cute little light on perhaps a parapet of some time. Unfortunately, just a quick view.

Point Vicente returns. Watching another classic show, the A Team, and a bunch of terrorist types are using it as there base. Towards the end, as the gang needs to escape, they rappel down the cliff face. Handy lighthouse to have so close to LA and movie/ TV productions.
