Happy 228th Birthday to the U.S. Coast Guard. They are still expected to DO EVERYTHING, WITH NOTHING, FOREVER. And they are holding to these expectations and always will.

They do seem to get their money's worth out of their cutters and other floating items. 50+ years out of some of their cutters is quite an accomplishment. However, I do recall a point in time they tried to extend the length of some of their cutters without getting BuShips and the Navy involved, and failed miserably. . .

I will say that I have seen some RHIBS I wouldn't mind having, like the 28 or so footer with 3 (yes, 3) 225 outboards.
