"THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MARITIME SEARCH AND RESCUE"
FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
What happens when a Mayday call is received, or a vessel is reported overdue? Search and Rescue teams have to sort through complex and often incomplete information, balance risk and capability, and choose the best assets in order to develop a mission that is most likely to succeed. We employ everything from complex mathematical models to “gut sense.” This talk will take the audience into the world of SAR planning and give them a hand at developing a case.
