I knew I had some single digit Wisconsin Point pieces set back to offer by opportunity drawing when the time was right. However, there is also one remaining Erie Land Light that was set back. The really good news is that I had set back matching numbers of these two pieces.

We will be offering opportunities on a grand prize of a matched set of #5 Erie Land Light and #5 Wisconsin Point, the two pieces created especially for the Collector Forums. There will also be runner-up prizes of a #2 and #3 Wisconsin Point (two winners). Funds raised will be added to the Collector Forums ongoing maintenance fund to help keep the lights on.

Opportunities will be offered for $10 each or 3 for $25. The opportunity drawing will run through December 13. I will ask Harry to draw the winner on December 15. We are not able to use PayPal for this, so you will need to resort to old fashioned checks or money orders. They will need to be made out to me and sent to the address below. Please include your name and address, as well as your email, on a separate piece of paper. I will send an email to you when I receive your entries (as long as you include it.) Please understand that if I do not have your check by the time of the drawing you will not be included so please get it mailed early.

I will reserve the right to extend the period if I feel there has not been a good response. I believe these piece should bring strong interest. Both were limited editions of 500 pieces. The ELL especially has been a sought after piece. Add in that these are single digit pieces, with a matched set, and I think there should be strong interest. However, I wanted to add this proverbial fine print “just in case” . . .

In thinking about the drawings we have had in the past and how successful they have been, I hope that this drawing will be half as successful. The chance to win a matched set of our Forums Exclusive in the single digits is a real opportunity and also to have a chance to win one of the other single digit Wisconsin Points is great!

I know for a fact that the Erie Land Light (my hometown light and my suggestion to produce it) is almost as hard to find on EBay as Coquille River and to have both a #5 of the ELL and also WP would be a real addition to some collectors curio cabinet. Any other comments out there????

GOOD LUCK to everyone that will take a chance and remember the deadline for receipt of your check or money order.

Sorry for delay in posting - was without internet for past several days!

Anyways, I have received the first few entries. Please get them in so we can complete the drawing without having to go to overtime! You won't have another opportunity at such a great set of single digit numbers, much less the matched set of Collector Forum exclusives.

OK, let me ask a question to whomever it may concern. Do you frequent the Forums and didn't have a chance this spring to contribute to funding the Forums when they were turned over to Dave from John. If you did contribute than thank you and if you didn't contribute than here is your chance. If you take one chance for $10 or 3 chances for $25 or take even more chances you will have a chance to win a matched serial number #5 set of the Erie Land Light and the Wisconsin Point Forums Exclusives. If you are not lucky enough to win the matched set you can still have a chance to win a #2 or #3 Wisconsin Point.

Even if you have both pieces than sell the one or 2 pieces you already have for a profit and keep what you won. We are running out of time before the Dec. 13th deadline for your contribution to be received by Dave. This is for a good cause and will carry on our Forum for over a year or two with the money we receive.

It appears that the response to our Opportunity Drawing is not going as well as we expected, so unless we get quite a few more participants between now and Dec. 15th, we might have to delay the drawing until after the 1st of the year.

If you haven't responded yet there is still time to have your checks received by Dave if you get them into the mail tomorrow. Come on guys and gals, it's only $10 for one chance and $25 for 3 chances and with the low turnout we have so far your chances of winning one of the 3 prizes is excellent.

So far we have had a number of great folks decide to participate in the opportunity drawing for the matched set of #5 Erie Land Light and Wisconsin Point pieces, as well as the #2 and 3 Wisconsin Point pieces. Unfortunately, we have not yet had enough people participate. I had set a goal of what we should raise with this effort and reserved the right to extend the drawing if that goal was not met by the original end date. So, I have decided to add one month to allow people to participate. The finish date will be January 13, 2017 – Friday the 13th. Whether or not we have reached the goal, names will be drawn that weekend. I apologize to those who have already participated and hope that you will bear with me as we work to raise funds to keep the Collector Forums available for collectors now and into the future.

Thank you to those who have already participated. I would love to see some more of you jump in on this opportunity that does not happen very often. The chance to obtain a single digit very limited edition is a rare one. And, don’t forget that the Erie Land Light is one that seldom appears for sale on eBay or other locations.

Now hopefully we can get a few more members and non-members to give up an eat out at McDonalds and use that money to take a chance on winning those single digit Forums Exclusives.

Next Friday someone is going to hit the jackpot - a matched set of #5 Erie Land Light & Wisconsin Point Collector Forums Harbour Lights exclusives. The two runner ups will receive a single digit Wisconsin Point. There is still time to enter. The odds are in your favor so get those entries in.

Even if you already have a set of the Erie Land Light and Wisconsin Point Lighthouses I would take the chance to get a single digit set. You can always sell the other set through EBay or Roland at the Cape Cod Store to recoup your money plus make a little extra on the side.

The ELL is selling quite a bit higher then the retail price and the WP is starting to become scarcer on EBay. PLUS if you are reading this then you are either a member or visitor and you can help us fund the Forums by sending you donation of $10 for one chance or $25 for 3 chances.

REMEMBER the money must be a check or money order made out to Dave and received by Dave prior to Friday. Any donations received after that date will not be eligible. Dave's mailing address is at the beginning of this topic.

Well, Friday the 13th was actually a lucky day for 3 folks who participated in the opportunity drawing. Through their generous participation we have added $400 or so to our coffers. Barring unforeseen complications, we are good for about 2.5 years!

Thanks to Harry Hine for selecting the winning numbers. Those winners are:

Matched set of #5 Erie Land Light & Wisconsin Point: Don McDuffie

# 2 Wisconsin Point: Don Groch

#3 Wisconsin Point: Randy Kremer

I would like to give my Congratulations to all the winners. I also like to give my congratulations to all the forum members. The forum being paid for two and half years that is a winner for all of us.

Thanks Dave. Great foresight in keeping a few of the single digits for a later time for payment of keeping the forum running.
