Just back from a river/canal cruise of Belgium and the Netherlands. Saw a couple of interesting lighthouses

This is the harbor light of Hoorn which I took from the dining room window as we passed





And this is the lighthouse known as the Horse of Markem (from the silhouette) - going north in the afternoon (take from the dining room at lunch)





and coming south in the evening (taken from the dining room at dinner)

The first light is nothing very spectacular, but the lantern is pretty cool looking.

I have to disagree with Dave on that one. The uniqueness of the way the braces are made makes it pretty neat I think.
