I'm glad I found this site as a model builder I've always had a fascination with lighthouses I guess living on the Eastern Shore could be one reason. Living in Delaware my favorite lighthouses are the old Cape Henlopen light and the Mispillion light. In fact I'm currently designing a card model of the Mispillion light and doing research is what lead me here. Maybe someone can answer this question on the Mispillion light the building to me has always been red & white, but in some old photos I've seen it looks white with dark trim so which is right?????

I looked at a CD that I have and could not find any pictures that could define what the actual paint color is/was. Hopefully someone else can give you this information.
However, I googled the lighthouse and it appears like prior to renovation it was Red w/White Trim and now after renovation it is White w/Brown Trim. I suggest that you contact the actual lighthouse group itself.

Thanks for the info, I found photos of the replica that was built in Lewis,De. And it was built from original blueprints, and it's white with black trim plus I found a real old photo that shows it as light with dark trim so I decided to make it those colors.
