To All,

In the Collector Forums , under The General Forum , there was a topic called “Corrections to Official Collectors Guide” . I have tried to locate it, because I wanted to keep my Collectors Guide current and up to date. I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I might be able to locate it? Thank You.

It's probably right under my nose. But what can you expect from someone who can't even post pictures?

Bob,

I did a search using "Corrections to Official" as the search words. The initial reply was that those words appeared in a thread that had a date of 7/05/07. When I clicked on that topic, the reply was "You have requested a topic that does not exist!"

Apparently it was removed by someone with the power to do that, but that someone will have to explain why.

Sandy

Sandy,

I went through the same process and received the same answer.

This in turn brings up another question: "How can a topic exist but NOT exist?"

Thank you for trying.

Yes it is deleted.

I was going to add a few more things to it and it is gone.

Hi Bob,

I printed a copy of the changes. Do you want me to send you a hard copy?

YES JUDY,

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!

Just to be on the safe side, would you send it via email but NOT through the Collectors Forums?

THANK YOU -- THANK YOU -- THANK YOU.

I don't know what happened to it. I took the Forums offline and rebuilt the indecies which hadn't been done for a long time. But still got the same "You're trying to access... doesn't exist."

Strange.

I transferred all the corrections and errors to a copy of the Collectors Guide as they were posted, so I have a hard copy, just not one that's typed up at this time.

When I find some spare time, I can go through that marked up book and create another post, perhaps in a month or so.

Bob,

I pasted them in this reply so hope that helps.

Corrections to Official HL Collectors Guide

Listed by page number:
3 “Requiem” misspelled “Requim” in the Table of Contents
83 NOTE: Cape Charles VA was the “Winner’s Choice” for 2004, selected by Larry Dinges
88 The thumbnail image labeled “HL401” is actually HL102
93 Edition size for HL175 may be higher; Sandy Jennings reports #7902
126 NOTE: Pieces #1-400 were reserved for members of the U.S. Coast Guard
135 NOTE: El Morro PR was the “Winner’s Choice” for 2005, selected by Ed Diaz
Information in the table about HL693 is incorrect. It was introduced Jun 2006, retired Dec 2006, Edition size TBD/UNK
275 In “Round Island Notes” box, reference should be to page [426]
289 NOTE: Sand Island AL was the “Winner’s Choice” for 2002, selected by Tish Jocelyn
336 Watch Hill Lighthouse is in Rhode Island, not Connecticut
368 NOTE: St. David’s Bermuda was the “Winner’s Choice” for 2003, selected by Tom Klinker
413 “Greylock” is the correct spelling, not “Graylock” (also misspelled on Index 478)
428 Another variation of “MLKTILEO” was previously known, but omitted from the listings and photos
437-470 No separate listing of Christmas Edition Limited Edition Lighthouses was included in the collector checklists
466 A 1995 brochure was not included in the list

The Rockland Breakwater Ornament was not included in either the book or checklists. Product number and issue date: In 2001 group of HL713, HL7066 Rockland Breakwater (as per WackoPaul)

In checklist on page 458, Hereford Inlet HL7067 was also omitted as were Ship John Shoal and Dunkirk Ornaments.

The production number for the Cheboyan Crib was wrong. Not 450 as listed in the book but 529 for each of the versions as per Kim.

Here are the two I mentioned in the "Top Ten On ebay".

1.looking at the variations shown on page 422 of the HL collector’s book. The picture in the upper left hand side is of the Umpqua 107, not the Yaquina 110.

2.On sheet 381 of the HL official Collectors guide the edition for the AB113 should read “open” not 4,000. ( The HL website has it "open" and Rich convinced HL to change the 4,000 production to "open")
