Just returned from Abbies Lighthouse in Edmonds and she is now carrying the Harbour Lights Collection, including LE, OE, and LLOM. Marcia's store is strictly lighthouse related and she carries everything you could think of with a lighthouse motif -- dishes, windchimes, teapots, blankets, garden stones, ornaments, bookmarks, etc. etc. etc. For basic information and a list of lines they carry, their website is www.abbieslighthouse.com Darlene

That sounds great! I will check out the site, and then plan a visit when I come up that way. Are the Puget Sound lights fairly easy to find and visit?
Thanks,
Ned

Ned, There are lots around the Sound. Browns Point near Tacoma, Point Robinson on Vashon Island, Alki in West Seattle, West Point in Discovery Park in Seattle, Mukilteo in Mukilteo, Admiralty Head on Whidby Island, Point No Point in Hansville on the Kitsap Peninsula, and Point Wilson in Port Townsend, and New Dungeness in Sequim if you're up for an 8 mile hike.

Dixie,
Thanks for the information on the lights. Are most of these fairly easy to find? Will a Seattle area map show them all very well?
Sounds like Washington is going to be my next stop!

If you are looking for a map of the Northwest Lighthouses, try the Northwest Lighthouses Map published by Hartnett House Map Publishers. Cost is $5.95. Includes descriptions/histories and directions to all standing lighthouses in Washington, Oregon and California. Map also shows locations of lighthouses in British Columbia but no directions given. If you need a copy Abbies carries it. Darlene

Also, a good book is "The Umbrella Guide to Washington Lighthouses" by Ted and Sharlene Nelson. It gives driving directions to all of the Washington lights as well as some history and other interesting information.
