I haven't seen a lighthouse yet this year and I am beginning to twitch! I shouldn't complain though, last year was fantastic. The Alaska cruise, two weeks and 65 lighthouses in Ireland and then a ride out to St. George Reef.
For this year, the west coast of Florida in May and back to California in August. A whale boat trip out to the Farallons, the bridge is fixed at Bonita, and I will finally get to go inside Point Pinos. In Florida I think we can rent a boat and go out to see Cedar Keys even if we can't land.

What about you? Any plans this year?

Cape Cod in May. Hope to get closer views of the tougher ones from the air and water.

I don't do as much dedicated lighthousing as you although we travel. Last year we went on a three week Bahamas and Caribbean Cruise and then drove over to Chincoteauge and down to Key West up the west coast of Florida, across Louisiana and out to TX and back. Then we did the two week cruise to Alaska in May and in November a two week cruise to Bermuda and the Bahamas.

We didn't even get the boat in the water. Hoping to do better this year although the only trip I have planned is to Australia in July with my granddaughter. I've been looking at the map of Sydney and there's a lighthouse right out in the harbor.

Rosalie, I think you see more lighthouses than most. I see your name all over the UNC site nowadays! Australia...how exciting!

Just been in Au in the business trip. If you're interesting about LHs in the Sydney Harbour - look here; if you zoom in to Sydney area you'll see most of the lights in harbour.

The map I was looking at was a map on the hotel website. I looked at the link and thought I'd see if there were any in Perth (Fremantle) but I don't see them there.

The trip to Asseteague and up the west coast of Florida was 'on purpose' to see some lighthouses. We saw some that we wanted to see but missed the one in Louisiana because the roads were flooded so we just had to visit the museum.

Dear Rosalie! Perth is in another album (try to look here) but unfortunately this album is very far to be complete, may be you could help to fill it after your trip? :)
Here is copy of nautical chart of Freemantle area (colored circles - positions of the lighthouses/beacons and other lights in the area):

If you need more detailed info - just let me know will try to find it.

Hi All:

So good to see friends' names and read about your adventures. Verizon did something and I cannot even open my e-Mails...drat!

Then a month ago, I fell asleep at the wheel, totaled my car and broke my left wrist. Am dependent on my friend Mary who is my care giver. I see my surgeon on 2 July and will plan from there.

The only lighthouse I've seen in the last year was West Pierhead light in Cleveland Harbor when I visited my daughter last year, as we went east OH2.

Bye for now,
Ellie
