Mandeville, LA : Madisonville Lighthouse

Tchefuncte River Is what I have always heard it called. It had a bit part in the movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" back in 2008.

As far as I know the official name is the Tchefuncte River Lighthouse. This picture was taken in April 2007 before restoration work began. In 1999 the property was transferred to the Town of Madisonville and continues to serve the community as a private aid to navigation and as an icon of Southeast Louisiana.
