I have several spread throughout my display of Harbour Lights. They add a nice touch, plus they always make me laugh when I remember the story of Bob.

I had three or four at first but I think I'm down to one now. I use to throw them in as a gift sometimes when I sold more than one HL to the same person.

I think I have 3 or 4. Had them signed and Bill related the story of the memorial tree to the group present at the event that day. Has been several years ago.

I thought that I would refresh or educate everyones minds...including mine which never heard of this story until recently...

For those who are seeing this thread for the first time, I should say that the seed from which it grew was an ebay listing for a lighthouse "signed by the artist & inventor, Bob Younger".
That launched the ball into Tim's court and the rest, as they say, is history (made up history anyway).

The thread that started it:

http://www.lighthousekeepers.com/forums/Forum10/HTML/000012.html

The "main story" thread started by Tim:
http://www.lighthousekeepers.com/forums/Forum10/HTML/000013.html

Another thread with a few comments:

A partial thread (start with EngBrady's comment):

Bringing this "Golden Oldie" back into view for those who haven't been around too long -- and for the old-timers who want to laugh out loud again.

NOTE that these links to old Forums open in new windows/tabs -- don't try to navigate within the old forums by clicking on the navigation links there. Just close the window after reading each thread.

Otherwise you'll end up in Limbo without a stick.

I also have several of these in my collection. They come up on eBay every once in awhile, that's how I got my first one, others at store closings - the store found them in the "back room as they were not displayed before.

I used to have one or more displayed in 8 different cabinets, kind of guarding the collection.. But the cabinets became to full, so there is just one being displayed now, the rest are like a little forest together on a bookcase shelf..

It's a little HL urban legend.

By the way, for anyone that doesn't have the Bob Memorial Tree there is on at auction on eBay ending 1/4.

I have several which I keep in front of a picture that I took of Bill and Bob at an early Rosemont show.

I have 2. The story makes this piece too hard to resist. And I FINALLY got my 'Flying Santa' (Days Gone By) figures! Just love them!
