I hope this is the right place to post this.

As we celebrate Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day this month. It's a time to recognize all who serve and have served our nation. We have a great week of activities planned to celebrate -- including the relighting of the historic Pooles Island Lighthouse. This Maryland landmark once served as a beacon over the Chesapeake Bay to guide ships to safety. Tomorrow's Aberdeen Proving Ground will be a beacon of science and technology guiding the Army and the region to a new and promising future.

We hope to showcase our APG military community during this exciting celebration May 16-21 2011. For information, visit the installation Facebook page and our presence on Twitter.
