Checking on interest in an 'In Envelope exchange to start May 15th May and be complete by the July 15th. Thats 60 days...I know many of us will be traveling...is that long enough?
Would it be better to wait till the first of July, after the cruise? I will be sending an email to past participants and I hope we can get some new people also.
For anyone new: You send one new, unused lighthouse postcard to everyone on the list, enclosed in an in envelope. This protects the postcard from the post office. It is usually less than 15 people, though it used to run closer to 25. We usually include something extra in the envelope: a printout about the light, another postcard, a brochure, a picture of the light... You never know what else will be in the envelope and thats a big part of the fun. Sound interesting? Send me a private message with your address and email, and join in.

I would prefer after the cruise, but if the majority wants to begin now I will go along - don't want to miss out.

I got a suggestion from Judy R. that maybe an "Out of Envelope" exchange would work right now. Those of us on the cruise could mail out postcards from Alaska or British Columbia. We wouldn't even have to take them with us, we could buy them on the way. I think it sounds like a great idea, and I have gotten several favorable emails. Anyone else want to join in?

I have sent out the labels for the Out of Envelope exchange to all those listed above. All cards need mailed by July 15th. I have a feeling there will be alot of Alaska and BC cards this time, with quite a few of us mailing while on the cruise.
