Kind of surprising to me, but "The Official Collectors Guide to Harbour Lights" is still selling well. Especially considering it was published in 2005. 84 copies were sold in the first quarter of this year.

I've been re-reading some of the contents lately and have found it's still a good read (in my biased opinion) both for seasoned collectors and for newcomers to Harbour Lights.

It's selling for about half the original price of $39.

Fair disclosure: Paul Brady and I still share a small percentage when one is sold at the discounted price. So go out and buy another copy, please. cheers

How about 77% off the original list for the Official HL Collector's Guide at Lighthouse Depot=$9.44! Quite a bit better than half off. Plus S&H of $6.99 or less if you get a S&H special.

Sure could use some type of update, yearly supplements, or a collector's guide that goes beyond 2005. Maybe even an on line option too.

Great and useful book! Still refer to it often.

At $9.44, Paul & I will each be able to buy a tenth of a gallon of gas at today's prices for each one sold.

Of course if they sell 90 this quarter, it will generate enough gas to go 1,500 miles in my Prius. 20% of my planned 7,000 mile 7 week trip around America this summer.

HEY! Good time to buy EVERYONE -- let's see if we can sell 450 of them at the deep discounted price so I can make it all the way!

Thanks LongIsland Bob

Max - creating the updates would be very labor intensive even if available online. Thanks for your comments, also.

Actually John, unless you're leaving tommorrow, you'll proabably have to redo you math by trip time the way gas prices go up every day!

I've actually thought about buying another one as mine is starting to fall apart.

I still refer to it almost daily.

It greatly helps my search for missing pieces to my collection. Which is now well over 400 HL's.

I already have a second copy. Still might buy more copies. Could be a great gift idea for a few friends this Christmas.

Thanks John & Paul for a GREAT helpful book !!!

We have two copies also, as we both need to have it always at our fingertips. They 'live' in the bookcases we have by each of our desks. Don't know what we would do, nor what we WOULD HAVE DONE without it while we were doing all the 'catch-up' collecting we have done in the past 17 months! I think every collector should have at least one!

Use mine often John. I get requests quite often for lighthouse replicas that I don't have listed on the website and it helps me to let my customer know if and when an HL version was made and pass on the info. Many of them find that very helpful. It also helps to answer some questions other customers have about the existing lighthouses on the site as well. Very handy guide.
