You got it! We couldn't go down those stairs, the wind was too high. I had never heard the wind howl before. We walked bent over and considered it an achievement when we got to where we could see the lighthouse from a concrete platform surrounded by railing. We made sure our camera straps were secured so that our cameras wouldn't blow away.

We made it to the bottom. When we got to the top the FOG came in just a two buses pulled up. Timing is everything!

That is a gorgeous fresnel! You are in Ireland again...I don't know the name of the lightship, but I bet at some point it was at South Rock. Wow, that looks top heavy. I think its Kittiwake, docked in Dublin.

Docked in Dublin. you may be right. I thought I was told it was the Albatros but checking this website, I believe you're correct.

I only got to see this LS on a 'moving' drive by, our driver couldn't stop.

Rowlett says the Albatross' light tower was removed and is displayed at Arklow. Guess this means I need to go again...
