About time to start off the next Robins! Is anyone traveling in the next 10 weeks or so for more than 5 days? Anyone want to drop out for a round? If so, please let me know by email. Currently the participants are:

Bringing this back up to see if anyone else wants to join in. I have sent an email to all the above participants that the 3rd robin should fly next Tuesday, the 30th.

Nope. I have been swamped and haven't sorted out addresses and determined the order. I was also waiting to see about Robin A... I did hear from Stephanie this morning and Robin A got to her, so it will be flying back to WV soon. I will get on this. Really got distracted searching for a new camera. There are waaaayyy too many choices out there.

Since it is getting so close to Christmas, I think I will wait a bit to start the Robins on their way. I also want to put the lists up in order a little before they are mailed so everyone will know when to expect them. I should have done that last time. So...there's a little more time. Any more takers? Any one traveling that hasn't let me know, just send me an email. Thanks for your patience everyone.

Laura, are you setting up a new Round Robin and an in-envelope exchange at the same time? I would like to be in the in-envelope exchange first and not be in both exchanges at the same time.

A couple people said "What ever the majority wants...so I put you in the "In Envelope". If you want to be in the Robin also, let me know.

There are 5 people I haven't heard from. I sent another email to them and if I don't hear by Friday, I will assume they want to sit this one out. I really don't want to accidentally include someone.

With the current numbers, I plan to start one robin and it goes to Judy Newblom first. She hasn't seen an Eagle yet. I happen to know that everyone in the In Envelope" exchange will see at least one though. If we get a couple more in the Robin, then I will start 2. Both filled with Eagles!

I don't know what the in envelope exchange is or how it works, can't find any info either.

This has been copied and pasted several times...I'm not sure who wrote it. One nice thing about this type of exchange is that the postcards are protected in the envelope and not damaged in the mail.

IN-Envelope Exchange
Send one New, Unused, Un-written on, Lighthouse postcard to each person on the exchange list. This exchange by being IN-Envelope allows the sender to add extras if they want to (not required). Some examples of extras that have been added in the past are: Extra postcards of the same lighthouse from different views, write ups or flyers of information about the lighthouse on the postcard, pictures that the sender has taken of the lighthouse on the postcard, Lighthouse Bookmarks, Lighthouse Calendars, or just any little extra that the sender wants to share.

So does it have to be the same card to every person?

Hilari, its usually the same card, but not always.

We now have 9 in the Robin and 10 in the "In Envelope."

We are up to 10 in the Robin and 10 in the "In Envelope." Only 3 people that I haven't heard from.

I have the labels ready and will send them email to everyone for the "IN ENVELOPE" exchange in the morning.
I will stick with one Robin and she will fly Monday morning. It would be tomorrow, but I am heading to Ohio to see my grandkids.

13 Eagles are on their way to Judy in Colorado. Special note to anyone who has some of the Eagle postcards...I have been reading further on the site and found that the first 12 postcards John Eagle made are getting rare. You can tell these postcards by their number AND a blue Salmona fish logo. He says on his site that he has one full set and keeps them under lock and key. In the last batch of cards I ordered I got 4 blue fish. So now I have 2 and Judy will have 2. I have seen these now for sale for $6.00. I don't know if I sent any blue fish out before...I didn't keep any of those. You might want to check!
