Queen Elizabeth 2 (my other love), is going to become the Deputy Master of Trinity House, the English and Welsh lighthouse operation, in September. It's a pretty prestigious position -- from what I understand, the only person higher up is the Master, who was previously Prince Philip and will become Princess Anne at the same time Captain McNaught takes over. (Princess Anne is a huge pharologist in her own right.)
Pretty cool news, especially for a dual lighthouse and ship geek like me!
