I haven't bought a new Harbour Lights lighthouse since July of 05' but I may have to buy this one as is kinda of in my backyard. Maybe I'll get 2 and repaint the second one to look like the guidewall light on the Indiana side.

Brings back a lot of memories to Rosemont and Navy Pier Collectibles Shows with good friends.

Nice execution and beautiful photography, as usual.

Paul do each of the new 2011 pieces have the 'medallion' about 20 years?

Probably wouldn't buy this one except I'm on autoship so will get it. I'm really not one for pierlights and breakwater lights. Pictures are great as usual.

I have Saddleback Ledge on the table ready to shoot next, but it may have to wait for a few days as Sue's surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. Until I get her back home from the hospital, I am probably done for a while..

Great "stuff" !!!

The more I see these pics of these amazing replicas, the more I know I'm going to be very poor this year(I've said that the last few years).

There will be a flag error on the 1st production run of the HL396 Chicago Harbor SE Guide Wall Light..

The flag has it LL instead of IL for Illinois..

It was already in production before I noticed it when shooting the lighthouse and made Harry aware of the error..

Mark Wagner figured out that since I didn't include a flag image when I 1st posted the the close-ups of Chicago Harbor Light it must be because of the error..

Paul - Do you have any idea what constitues a first production run now. In the old days wasn't it something like 1200? Now days the whole production is only going to be 1200. If they do correct this error, the correct "IL" should be very low in production and could be a keeper for anyone that gets it.

Rich, Maybe we'll have figure it out like we did in the old days. Start a thread and people report in with numbers over and under the change and narrow it down. The paint job With 5 separate color combination's on Minot's Ledge was a large grass roots undertaking at the time.

Tony says the Guidewall error will appear on the first batch -- which is under 500 pieces.

All of the Alligator Reef's will have the correct "FL" (except for the paint samples.)

But Tony also promises:

Quote:
...there will be one other interesting discovery on some pieces

The 1st run will be 300 replicas..

The other discovery to which is referring, is a really tough one to find..

Nope that's not it. They have that crammed in there to fit. There is just a bit of space in between "keep the flame", the error is something else.. The seal is actually only 1/2 inch in diameter, so the print is very small..

Paul, Thanks for the great pictures. I already bought them all, but somehow, your wonderful pictures make the long wait to receive them less painful!
