If I had to pick a favorate at this moment, I would say Stannard Rock.

Glad to see the Chicago Harbor SE, as I thought this might never be done as an LE, maybe an LLOM.

Surprised to see the price of Alligator Reef, thought it was going to be way way more expensive. Leads me to think the replica was scaled down.

Thought I heard no GLOW's or LLOM's in the near future. That could change with LLOMs if I private group funds a limited piece.

Did hear somewhere that a Lens might be on tap for Twenty-Eleven. Guess we will have to wait for summer to find that out either way.

Since all regions are to be represented this year, we know that following already:
- Lake Superior
- Lake Erie
- New England
- Northeast
- Florida
- Lake Micigan

Leaves:
- California
- Northwest (WA or OR)
- Alaska pieces
- Gulf Coast (TX,AL,MS,LA,FL)
- Mid-Atlantic (NJ,DE,MD,VA)
- Southeast (VA,NC,SC,GE)
- Lake Onterio
- Lake Huron

Looking forward to seeing somemore of the new releases and what the rest of the year has in store for us HL wackos.

Have not received Shinnecock YET! BUT just now received 3 pieces from Cape Annie's. Saddleback Ledge and Stannard Rock, both #9, and Morgan Point #18!
I like them very much!! Even Paul's excellent photographs do not do them enough credit! Great job Harry!

Yesterday I picked up my Stannard Rock, Alligator Reef, & 87' Patrol Boat over at my local HL dealer in Seaside Heights.

They all look GREAT. Just not sure I like the size of the Alligator Reef piece, wish it was atleast an inch taller. Hopefully I get used to it.

The releases are all nice with great detail and colors, but, if I wanted to collect GLOW size pieces I would have bought the GLOWS. The prices go up and the sizes go down and very soon Rich will give up. I think Stannard is my favorite. The only saving grace was the 87' Patrol boat. What detail!

I commented to my dealer the other day about this law of inverse proportional that I have been noticing over the past few years with HL pieces (LEs). (All due to the increasing price of raw materials and wages in CHINA)

The pieces are indeed getting smaller and smaller and the price keeps increasing. Soon, the HL piece itself will be so small that it will disappear (not visible to the naked eye) and you will have to take your dealers word on which piece you actually purchased. The molecular density of these HL replicas must be increasing. I wonder if each piece will eventually create they own gravitational pull.

Even-though the quality of work (detail) is the best that Harry, or anyone else, has ever done over the past 20 years, it is getting to a point the the pieces will not be worth the asking price for them...... (which is a shame because the detail is awesome)

Of course, I guess that's why LHD keeps discounting them; they are become too expensive, especially in today's economy!

Here's looking towards the Summer 2011 pieces!!

I received Stannard Rock, Saddleback, and Morgan Point (the first three of six I ordered) day before yesterday, and they are awesome! I do not like the size, but the quality is great. It could be time to go shopping for another place to do business. It seems China has long since gotten too expensive, and HL can only afford to have 3/4 of a light made at a time. Still, it is the most beautifully done 3/4 of a light that ever came down the pike, and I am also looking forward to the Summer Releases. I am sure I will keep buying as long as I can afford them. ( Don't look now, but these lights haven't been "...worth their asking price," for years!) It is just that we all love lighthouses, and that Harbour Lights is absolutely untouchable in detail and quality. I look at the alternatives, and know that if I do not buy Harbour lights, I will not buy lighthouse replicas at all.

I received my Stannard Rock this week too! Very cool piece! :)
I did notice though that the flag has the year as 2010 not 2011? Could we have a typo?

I have seen none of the latest releases live because there are almost no dealers in the Bay Area anymore that carry the new pieces (because they can't sell the old ones) but, based on the fact that collectors here are complaining about their sizes, I know I'm going to love them...the footprints were getting way too big for my collecting space.

Just picked up Alligator Reef today. The way I feel about this piece is like the old saying " If you can't do it right don't do it at all ". It is way too small when compared to the other reef lights. I will not be able to display it with the other lights of the series because it looks dumb next to them. I would of gladly paid twenty dollars more for it and had it done right.

I wish they would do a survey of their collectors, (they know who we are as we join the Society each year) to find out if we WOULD pay more for the old LE sized lights. I have said before that if that's what it takes, I would pay more! They need to do this before they make the lights for 2012, or 2013 if it is already too late for next year.
