Moby -- this one separates the 'lighthouse visitors' from the 'lighthouse lookers' (The later being people who are satisfied with a long distance view -- provided they have a long telephoto lens!)

Maybe there needs to be a rule that the game is based on photos of the outside of the lighthouse or property around the lighthouse??

I'm assuming any part of outside is a dead give-away? But that was the idea of the game when created was to ID LHs not exclusively interiors. I have no problem with these as clues as part of the mix but please mix it up.

Well...a little bit. Its a light that is open and both the interior and exterior need work. Still no idea!

I'm 99.9% sure it's not Heceta Head. I've stayed there several times, and never saw those rooms. And there's no way it has a window in that shape.

Not only haven't we been in Sheffield Island Light, we have yet to make it to Sheffield Island Light.. It looks like they have some nice cruises to the Island and the Light..

When Nancy and I were there, the ferries to the island weren't starting until June 26th. We got lucky while looking for a spot to see Sheffield and Greens Ledge from, and a local resident took us to a lovely little private park on a point where we could see them both very clearly. A lady was sitting there painting a picture of Greens Ledge, and as she heard us talking she asked the name of the lighthouse, checked the spelling, and added it to her painting. Sheffield Island is extremely small, but we could see people there. We looked around a little farther, and there was Pecks Ledge! That part of the country is fantastic for all the lighthouses. Multiple places where we could stand in one spot and see up to 5 lights.

I thought you had already done Eaton's then I realized that we had just discussed it.. The split-rail fence was the deciding item that it had to be Eaton's, not many of those in front of white towers..

When did you shoot the light? I have always seen it with a red lantern room roof and no green trim.. Most of the time a really faded red roof..
