A few of our users are reporting that they are not seeing many images -- that instead they see the "red X" that indicates a missing image. This is since the changeover to the updated software on Sunday.

If you are having this problem, please post a reply to this topic and include the type of operating system (Windows/MAC, etc), the browser (Internet Explorer, AOL, Firefox, etc.) and the version of browser (Click on "HELP/About" on your browser...)

Again, if you have this problem, tell us if you can see ANY images or are just not seeing some of them.

If you are having no such problems, please DO NOT reply to this message.

Thanks...

OK, my bad.

The new 'skin' was missing some icons and since they were missing, the dreaded red-x appeared.

I use Firefox. Firefox just doesn't display an image it can't find -- so I wasn't seeing anything where those images should have been.

I switched the system back to the default skin and this should have cleared it up for all users. IF NOT, please post here.

Internet Explorer and Google Chrome were showing "red-x" for those missing icons when I looked at the site though those browsers.

I will locate and install those missing icons and, when I know it works, I'll switch the default back to the blue one.

Hang in there... we were working with that other software for 13+ years.

Resolved the text 'centering' when viewed with Internet Explorer. You may need to REFRESH your page or close the browser and reopen it to see the text flush left.

Today, using Windows and IE ver 7 I see some red Xs and some images. However I am seeing a number of yellow notepads for 'new' messages that happen to be a month old.

Using this software, is there any way for the end user to mark all messages as 'read' rather than letting the system determine what is new since their last visit to the forums?

I still continue to see some red x's. I have signed out and signed back in several times, and also cleared temporary internet files, cookies, history, etc.

You are probably seeing those on the "Active Topics" and "Active Posts" pages. If elsewhere, please let me know.

We're working on those.

You might want to try the Firefox browser to see what happens when you use it.. I switched years ago and love it.. It works equally well for PC's and Mac's..

Firefox Browser
