Not Lake of the Clouds. You can't see Lake Superior from that viewpoint. This lake is also too wide.

Wherever it is, I want to go there. The leaves were changing so it's anywhere north of here, for sure!

Looks like the ocean or bay out there in the distance. There are no lighthouses in sight. The photo is taken from an elevated position. The trees look a little bent so if the prevailing wind is from the southwest, you may have been facing northeast when the photo was taken. Could you possibly be up near Montauk Point?

Scargo Tower Quite a unique spot in Dennis on Cape Cod. There is a circular stairway to the top inside. I almost missed it!

One of my favorite National Parks, Jim. I spent two weeks there camping when the kids we very young. We're always talking about going back.

Okay, so it's somewhere gorgeous in the U.S. The pictures are really beautiful, Bob. Must be East Coast?? (Sue's response?) Whoops, didn't see her latest response. I started to say West Coast and obviously a lake.

Big mountains with snow. Lake nearby. That restricts where they are. I think you can rule our the south, mid-west, Great Lakes and Plains states....

There are no mountians like that on the east coast. Those are out west somewhere. If I was a betting man I would say the Grand Tetons.

Well Bob I got the Lake part from your response to my "not really a guess" and figured out the country to be the US. A lake with snow covered mountains nearby just made me guess what I did. Maybe 'cuz the Olympics are almost here again.
When were your photos taken?

Bob, seniors (many of us in the CF's are) and little kids are very much alike. We do and say preposterous things! This is good practice for you for when the grandbaby arrives.

Must be something in the water in AZ?

We were in Utah a week ago for Sundance. On the last day before we left I dragged my brother-in-law up there for these spectacular views. He had never been. Apparently, the summer is very different. They have the largest Buffalo herd in US, and we managed to see a few up close. (20 yards, not that close.) These guys are huge. I've seen them up-close in Riverhead, LI but they were in a corral not 'roamin the range.'

I knew exactly where you were Bob but I had to follow your rules and not guess!
