It's as hidden as most of them lately, it's hidden on the back deck of the Midwest Harbour Lights Museum and is hiding behind a small palm plant..

There you go Sandy, this post rolled it over to a second page..

Magical! Rolling to a second page, that is--not your explanation. Still won't show anywhere but here.

On second thought, is what's on the deck the one I couldn't find when I searched for it on a visit to Morris Island, SC in 2005? I think the caption on this photograph was something to the effect that I couldn't locate the elusive li'l devil. Where was she hiding?

Sorry, Bob!!

Quote:
HL377 Malapu'u, HI Exit the tower and go to the top of the red stairs, turn right and jump over two vertical hedges on the hill. The small albino seahorse has its head touching the hedge at the bottom of the fence. Difficult to see.
The seahorse on the HL377 Makapu'u, HI is in the water..

Boy! Some people have way too much time on their hands. . . .

Think my order should arrive this afternoon and I'll confirm locations.

Thanks, Bob,

Pittsfield, MA is close to Wells, ME?

Anyway, received my shipment but can't get to confirming locations until after 9/26--am frantically trying to get my house/yard/dogs/laundry/etc. in order before we leave for Nova Scotia and PEI.

HL805 Jordan Point, VA Face the flag. Go up over the top of the leters "JOR", over the green hedge and under the foundation on the left side. The seahorse can be seen, head only, under the lighthouse, gray in color, way in the back.

Boy, I don't know about that BOB!

If indeed it is there (on the new Jordan Point, VA piece), it is not very pronounced on my piece, even if it is only the head. I think you may be seeing things..... this is a hard one Folks. We may need confirmation from HLs on that one.....

I have been looking under the foundation in the gray area under different lighting scenarios, and I don't see it....

Bob, I'm with Christopher on this, as I can't confirm your sighting. Back to the flashlight and magnifying glass. . . .

HL 263 Los Angeles Harbor, CA--find upright seal on rocks left of sailboat. Left-facing seahorse is embedded in waves about 1" diagonal to seal.

HL 278 Battery Point, CA--hold sculpture such that you can look over storage shed roof onto sand-colored walk that's between building and tree. Right-facing seahorse, same color as sand, is lying on her side next to blue shrub.

HL 640 Hooper Strait, MD. I'm not sure about this and hope someone will confirm or find a better location. Crude, right-facing seahorse head and body, sans tail, embedded in wave 1/2" from LH leg closest to rear of boat. Head is bent, almost touches chest.

Anybody locate seahorse on these?

HL 294 Alki Point, WA
HL 344 Mobile Point, AL
HL 331 Fowey Rocks, FL
HL 533 Cold Spring Harbor, NY
HL 541 Fort Point, CA
HL 646 Minot's Ledge Light, MA
HL 677 Fourteen Foot Bank, DE
HL 801 Sapelo Front Range Light, GA

Does anybody know if seahorses are to be found on the historical buildings pieces, i.e., HL 903 Mount Greylock War Memorial Replica, MA, HB 904 Pemaquie Point Bell Tower, ME, HL 906 Old North Church, Boston, MA?

The locations of seahorses on many GLOWs is unknown--the last post I show is for HL 463 Brant Point, MA.

A bit of seahorse trivia, I talked to Harry about Jordan Point, VA Lighthouse.

He said he doesn't believe there was a seahorse placed on the piece.. I really didn't know whether to post this or not but then I decided why not, it just makes the piece a little more unique.

Hooray for you Paul!! Filling in a number of holes in my inventory. Keep up the good work.

Just between you and me, there's a plan afoot to update the location listing as soon as I get off my knees (weeding, not praying--altho' I'm thinking of combining the two and praying the weeds stop growing!). Can't tell you how much time I spent looking for the Alki Point seahorse a couple of nights ago. . . .
