Ok you Nikon owners. I am on the list to get this lens. It has been 4 mos so far. I just read a review that says it is not a good lens for architecture. Does that mean I am wasting my money for taking pictures of lighthouses with this one. I thought it would be the only lens I would need so I would not have to change the lens on those boat rides and get dust in my camera. Every review says it is an excellant lens. Help. confused

At 18 it is not good but you are fine if you don't use the widest point on architecture ... It is Great to get everything in when you can't move back any farther...

I have the 17 to 55 so I know what happens at 17... I love the lens I have but you do have to watch being level and close things at the edges when you are wide can become real wide..

I have been working with my professonal camera consultant(Jenifer) and have decided to forget the 18-200 and buy a used 80 200 2.8. I will have to build up muscle for the extra weight but I am sure I can DO IT. Cant wait to see pictures with this new lens. laugh
