That was a comissioned piece by the The Sandollar Shop in Virginia Beach, VA.. It was available at the Tidewater Regional as they were the dealer at that Regional selling the Regional event pieces.. You can do a dealer search at the Harbour Lights website and get their contact information to see if they have any remaning pieces..

The original edition size was to be 1607 but I see the seller says it is 800. Sand dollar might have backed out of the full production and only went with half the amount.

I found out that its product number is:
CSTM01

I believe this stands for custom and of course this was Harbour Lights first custom figurine.

Information I obtained prior to winning the first auction was that the BIN price was $49.99 plus shipping and presume that was what it was supposed to priced at in The Sandollar Shop. 1,607 is the full production, with 800 being the first shipment. When those are sold, the balance will be ordered. The auction I won was for #10 of 1,607 (may be #10 of 800 if sales don't happen). The next auction was for #109, so I don't think they're auctioning any other 2-digit pieces, but don't quote me on that.

Looks like they're having problems selling them at full price as their BIN/BO auctions are priced at $25 or thereabouts.

The original price for one of these was $55.
They were going to have 1607 produce that was the year of the cross.

I won the bid for the 109. I doubt that they will produce anymore than the 800. The fact they are selling these on ebay for $25 to $35 a bid is a sign that they are not going to make anymore. There are two more that will be offered later that is signed by Bill and one is to be a double digit. All the rest will have a number higher than 109

Does anyone have the actual dimensions of this piece? and when was CSTM101 first introduced (~2001)?

The HL First Landing piece was introduced at the Portsmouth Regional, I'm thinking that was June 2006.

I won one of the early auctions as well.

At the time I won, I thought this was a retired piece from five to ten years ago. I didn't know it existed. If I was aware it could be bought at the Sand Dollar Shop, I would have bought it two years ago. At full price.

It is a very nicely done piece !!! cool

I called the Sand dollar shop last year for one and asked them to find me a double digit. They said they would look and call me back. They never did so when I saw them selling them for half price on ebay I went and purchased it that way. Same store, half the price.

This is the only CSTM made by Harbour lights and I feel that it is a great collectors item. I also feel that 800 will be the max ever made of these.

It is 6" diameter and 6" high.
It came in a standard Harbour Light box and even the styrene insert had the standard Harbour Light stamp. The number probably should have been a HB instead of CSTM.
If you are a Harbour Light “HB” (Historical Building) collector you may want to add this to your collection.

I was at the in store event this past Sunday at The Sand Dollar Shop and the Cape Henry Cross was on sale for the event for $25. The owner of the store did say that only half of them were produced (around 800). The piece does have a tiny sand dollar on it. A well done piece for the cost. They had plenty of them for sale.

Their inventory is quite apparent based on the number of new auction postings on ebay! Whew....
Enough! Time for a rest. pillowfight

After being inundated with eBay posts over the past several weeks, perhaps a liquidation sale is in order and may attract more folks in purchasing them.

My question is: Where are the special pieces that are 2-digit or signed by Bill, that was mentioned earlier?

I think what we're seeing on Ebay is a liquidation sale.

For the Cape Henry Cross piece, I didn't see any double digits on the table at the event. There were a few in the mid and upper 100's that were sold. Some pieces in the 200-300 range were brought out later that did contain some pieces signed by Bill in 2006. This piece along with the Loon Island piece were the hot sellers. Not only did you get a nice piece for $25 but it was the cheapest way to get a ticket for the door prizes and the gold Loon Island piece drawings.

Humm, I could see how a $25 ticket for a GOLD piece could be enticing..... (Interesting tactic)

I had seen this piece on ebay a while back. I liked it but did not know anything about it.
