I just received two of the late summer releases, Sarbine Pass and Pomham Rocks.

Pomham Rocks is very nicely done, but I don’t know, the lighthouse itself is way too small for my taste. I would rather have had a larger structure and less of the environment that it is in. It reminds me of the old Cheryl Spencer Collin lighthouses.

Sarbine Pass has a better size but it would have been nicer if it had been on pilings like the old Boca Grande or Roanoke River pieces.

Steve, the Sabine piece was done as it was to try to keep the cost as close to reasonable as possible. Still a cool piece. We had the paint sample with us in June 2008 when we visited the light. The folks that were at the NO regional did a great job of keeping that secret for so long.

I agree with Steve that the Ponham Rocks lighthouse could have been bigger, but I like the added envirorment around it.

Maybe they could have made the lighthouse an inch bigger, and still keep the landscape.

If you have ever been to Ponham Rocks Light, the first thing you'll notice is its closeness to the shore. Yes it could have been larger but that would mean sacrificing the setting on which it rests.
