We just received:
HL212 Grand Haven South Pier MI #6
HL261 New Dungeness WA #5
HL262 Long Beach Bar NY #5
HL338 Galveston Jetty TX #5

In the first round we received:
HL124 Split Rock MN #8
HL141 Cape Neddick ME #8
HL 169 Peggy's Cove #8

It is nice to have some Founders pieces. I definitely hope they don't destroy the ones left as they could donate them to the clubs for fundraising for lighthouse preservation. Even if the clubs had to report how much they raised and for which lighthouse, I know our club would be willing to do that. Being landlocked we are constantly trying to figure out creative ways to raise money for preservation.

Boy, we got a big suprize when Cape Disappointment and Yaquina Bay arrived at our house. Both were #3s. So we have 8 #5s and 2 #3s.
I was shocked that such a low number was still out there.

Wow--that's great Randy. I'm just happy to get some low numbers in my collection on lights I didn't have!

That's the first mention of Pharos pieces that I have seen. Interesting that the first 10 may have been held back even though the line really didn't take off for various reasons.

I just received a New point Loma mini from the founders collection.
I bought this one, more for curiosity and the price was right, $25.
I remember Bill saying at the special St Augustine event in December of 2004 that he didn't keep any mini New point Lomas , that they were all given out and had to actually buy one from a Collector. Rock later said on the forum that it was him that sold to Bill.

So knowing that all the low numbers were already given away to the reunion attendees what number do you think that I got?

Anyone want to take a stab at this?

Very good Paul.

You are correct.
All I know is what I read in the forums.
After Bill bought a NPL mini, Kim later told him that they did have an extra one and it was tucked away.

I assume this was the extra one and it was never numbered.

There was more than one, Daniel, as I bought a couple for giveaways at Hoosier Lighthousing Club meetings. That's how I knew there was no number..

Does look like many collectors acquired some real treasures !!!

What I had hoped to find in the last batch was maybe a non-mini New Point Loma, or a Three Sisters, or maybe a Cheboygan Crib.

Congrats to all those who added special pieces to their collection !!! cool
