I'm trying to expand my collection by looking for the Canadian and California pieces, but, I need to know approximate serial numbers that apply to these pieces. A link that I got for the Minot's Ledge that listed serial numbers, paint variation and country made was very helpful in helping me to find the 5 different variations. I wonder if anyone out there has anything of this nature that you can provide me with for the Canadian/California variations/serial numbers? If you prefer not to publicly post it, I can assure you that if you send me a copy or link it will remain secure in my files. I will only use it for my personal information purposes.

Pushing my memory a bit, Rich... but I think the reason that we had that information for the Minot's Ledge variations was because there were so many (5 different) and we were able to get many collectors to participate in telling us which version they had and what the serial number was.

We didn't try to actively collect the serial numbers and variations on most other pieces -- except Coquille for California Mold and Canadian Mold.

Thanks John. I have used all the available information I have and I'm starting to put this information together with the serial numbers I have gathered. I have used my Green Book to get a starting place and have used other information I've gotten from Forum members. When I get done I'll have a good idea of where I'm at. I've promised some of the members that gave me information not to post it, so, to honor their wishes, it can't be posted to the Forums.

Congratulations on taking on the big step of becoming a variation collector. The most exciting part of collecting the early HL is that you really don't know what you are going to get.
Even in the California and some of the Canadian there are many variations in a variation.

But it was nice work that was posted by Art.
It was the listing of pieces with lightning rods and the production numbers. Maybe one of the Saints could get it working again.
