I am sure glad that I continued to ask the Youngers for ELL. And I am sure glad that they told me no way because of where it is located and it would not sell. It is TERRIFIC !!

Great photos! Great Harbour Lights. We did it, gang! Thanks to the work team. Thanks for the original idea that someone had to create a unique "Collector Forums Harbour Lights"

And very special thanks to Harry Hine who had big dreams on making this very special for us.

If you haven't ordered all you want. NOW is the time. The limit is lifted on the number you can order. 50% deposit is still requested, but there won't be a long wait for delivery from now.

(If you do choose to prepay in full, you'll still get one of those great ELL cloisonne pins for each one you pre-pay.)

Get your requests in this coming week, please. Next week, we'll permit HL club members to order without joining the forums.

In a couple of weeks, we'll be publicizing the availability of this very limited piece to the good folks who live in the Erie PA area.

We're aiming for a sell-out before delivery!

If you haven't ordered yet or if you have ordered, but want to up the quantity, now is the time to visit this link .

Paul's detailed photography really shows this wonderful creation at its best. The paint sample is so very well done and makes me proud, as a member of the Collector Forums, to know this piece began right here at the CF.

Any HL collector will be proud to have this piece in their collection.

We're hoping for a late March-early April delivery but with the color change from black to a patina bronze for the lantern room roof it could be delayed a few weeks. As we get closer to the March-April delivery date we will know more. We felt it was more important to have the correct color on the lantern room roof then to deliver early with the wrong color on the roof.

Does anyone have any idea what the postage cost would be, if we had one shipped here to the UK?

And can it be declared a "gift" rather than merchandise with commercial value as far as customs label is concerned?

Anything over $30 in value costs import tax here. This would not be so bad, if our post office would not then charge some extortionate fee for the priveledge of them collecting the customs fee. So the import duty / post office fees nearly doubles the cost.

That makes it way too expensive for us.
We had thought about having it delivered to daughter Sue's in CA. But if the delivery is delayed, than that would not help. As we will be gone again before the HL arrives... Shame...

Fran, the pin will come with the light. This will save us the cost of packaging and mailing, off setting the slight extra cost we incurred and leaving more money to go towards preservation.

Margret, the SWAG on the weight of the piece when packaged for shipping is around 2 pounds. Won't know for sure until I have a completed one in hand to experiment with. Send me an email about the other.

Everytime I look at Paul's close-up pics, I say, WOW! The detail on this special CF edition is amazing. This piece is better than I ever thought it could be. I will be proud to have it in my collection.

Unique and awesome!
We felt the same way on Cedar Island, the little details make the piece 'special'. Thanks for attending to the detail. cool

Harry is due back from China today. I'll contact him next week; I have been waiting to get a reading on the status until his return.
