If you have thought about ordering an ELL but have been procratinating, now is the time to get one ordered. I am down to only a handful left. Once those are gone you will have to look on the secondary market. Those who have purchased the light will agree, I believe, that this is an outstanding HL piece. The size is just right, lots of detail, you get to choose whether to 'plant' the flagpole or leave it in the box, and the price is certainly right ($50 delivered). Harry did a stellar job in capturing the look of the light.

If you haven't ordered one, don't wait any longer. Do, however, check with me before you send payment or use PayPal to be sure I still have one available.

Thanks to everyone who has ordered.

This would make a nice Christmas gift for someone you know that likes lighthouses. Even if they do not collect Harbour Lights, It would make an awesome gift that will be retired by the time you give it. You can tell that person that it is not sold at stores and it is no longer available. You will really be giving a gift that is unique.

I have to admit that the ELL came out better than I would have ever expected. Harry Hine must have spent some serious time creating such a wonderful piece for the Collector Forums.

Did I tell you I extremely pleased with it?

And I must chime in to tell you that I was extremely happy when a light from my hometown was selected. I have 4 of them in my collection and they are all displayed. If I had the room I would add some additional ones. They would make an exceptional Christmas Present and you can honestly tell the person that you give it to that it is one of the lowest editions sizes ever put out by Harbour Lights and that it was not available in stores for the general public to buy.

Copper, you need to send me an email with your name so I can be sure one is set aside for you. Web pages were to be updated with notice to ask first, hopefully will be soon.

For those interested in an ELL, please do send me an email. I will add you to the list when I receive it. For the last ELL, any tie goes to the earliest received email.......

The order form and confirmation page have been updated to reflect that you should contact Dave before making payment.

Thanks to the team that worked so hard to make this happen. Thanks to Kim Andrews and her team for agreeing to do this. Thanks to Don Devine and his team for helping to promote this and carry though the project.

Thanks to our work team for their input and help with decision making and selection and all that stuff that had to be decided including how to be the fairest of fair in distrubution.

I think I've announced this before, but if not, you'll hear it here first:

The work team specifically wanted to exclude themselves from any favoritism or reward for this volunteer work. They were adamant that they would take their own chances in the randomness of the draw in low number selection, etc. One of the 'rules' was No APs for the group.

Unknown to any of the group, Dave included, I asked Harry to see that APs were created and after the shipment arrived in the country at the same time as the numbered editions, each of the team members received an AP. I think to a person, they were surprised and pleased and now have a piece for their collection that will undoubtedly never see the secondary market.

Harry did a great job of imagining just how ELL should look for our special project, added lots of special touches to it. The unnamed artist who created the piece from Harry's line drawing sketches worked directly for the factory in China.

I'm thrilled we will have a sell-out very soon -- SO, thanks to all of you who added the Erie Land Light to your Harbour Lights collection!

Just ordered mine. Did check with Dave first.

I was going to order this next month, as it would fit my budget better, but it came down to now or never.

Looking forward to it's arrival. smile

Looking forward to the arrival of my ELL. laugh

Started thinking if there's going to be a CF special lighthouse next year?

If so, has the lighthouse already been decided on? Who makes the decision? Can CF members participate in the selection of future choices?

I would love to be participate if possible. smile

There is a possibility that we will have a second exclusive but no decisions have been made as to which one, who will decide and the price range if there is one.

We have about a dozen left to sell of the ELL so if any body is sitting on the fence trying to decide about buying one or buying a second one for a gift, I would run like heck to the phone or computer and contact Dave. He who hesitates is lost.

Rich, Thanks for the info. Really hoping there's a CF exclusive next year.

As for this years, I'm sure the last few will sell by Christmas. If not, and there's a 2007, they will sell to a 2007 newbie looking for both.

It is my understanding that there are now less than 10 ELL's available for purchase. Is anyone surprised that none of the ELL's have appeared on eBay? People who have bought one, or maybe an extra one, are waiting for the last few to be sold so you won't be able to buy one for the bargain price of $50, and that includes shipping! If you are procrastinating, buy it now or be prepared to pay a premium price for it in the future.

The Lake Erie Land Light is still available on this forum and it just sold on ebay for $64.03 + $8.50 shipping =$72.53. That is $22.53 more than the going price.

I'm active on eBay and didn't even see the ELL listed until I made my previous post about not seeing any on eBay.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I went from the CF to eBay and saw the ELL right on top with 9 minutes to go.

One would think that any newer HL selling for above its retail price is a good thing. Hopefully, there won't be a flood of ELL's suddenly appearing which could possibly drive the bids down a bit.

I did not see it until it had a day left to bid.
I was surprised to see the ELL with a day left and I don’t understand why I didn’t catch when it was first entered on ebay. The ELL had a starting bid of $27 with no reserves. The owner said the number was in the 300’s

The good thing is that the team members didn’t sell any thru ebay. This way even though we have a saturated market at this time with forum members, we have an unexplored market on ebay.

The Lake Erie Land Light has not even officially retired yet
It is retired since Harbour Lights has no more to offer a store (Collectors Forums being the store). It isn't sold out yet but technically it is retired as you can't get one another from Harbour Lights..

For those few of you who believe in waiting until the very last minute before ordering, that minute is now here. There are four (yep, 4) ELLs that are not yet spoken for. If you have been thinking about getting one for yourself for Christmas get your order in now....

Thanks again to everyone who has purchased an ELL and supported this project.

ELL Order Page

Don't forget the matching pin that will set you back a meager two bucks when ordered with your ELL. Anyone who would like a pin, send me a note and I'll set you up. The pins, when not purchased with the ELL, are still only $2 each, but you need to pay for shipping (only a buck for up to 5 pins.)

Just realized that some mis-interpreted my last post. There ARE 2 ELLs left to be sold. What I asked was who would buy the last one (meaning last model available, not the last number). My bad for the poor wording. . . .

Geez Dave just when I was going to congratulate you too. Oh well guess you'll have to wait...naw I can't do it. Congrats to all who was involved in this. Its a nice piece and getting mine led to my visiting ELL when my daughter and her family went on vacation with me this past summer. We did it as part of the lower Seaway Trail /Niagara Falls trip.

OK, now it really is SOLD OUT.

Future buyers will have several choices:

(1) Regret not getting one before they sold out.
(2) Buy one on the secondary market.
(3) Pay attention to the forums because there are still some single digit and AP versions and the paint sample. They will be raffled and/or auctioned off from time to time.

Thanks again to everyone who participated and to those that helped.

I'm very pleased the ELL has sold out. Kudos to Dave who shouldered most of the burden in bringing those ELL's to the forum faithful. I have a spare one and I'm glad to have it. It's one of the few new HL's that's worth more than retail.

If any one still wants an ELL. All they need to do is to advertise on this forum at the trading post. Many collectors purchased an extra and if there is any place of finding one, it is here. The average going price on ebay for an ELL is $65 plus shipping.
