I was wondering today if anybody collects antique lighthouse postcards. Here are a couple of mine:

Just wondering,

I do Jake. Have not bought any in the last month or so, but I have around 100 right now. Mostly from the 1900-1950 range. Alot of linens, no newer chromes though.

Sure do Jake. That is how I became interested in lighthouses. Collecting old lighthouse postcards. I now have close to 1700 in my collection. Most of them are pre-1940, with a good number of them 1905-1925.

I also collect post cards of lighthouses, both "antique" and "not yet antique". They are a great source of information, not to mention enjoyable to look at.

I'm a lighthouse postcard collector too. All of my cards are new though. Everytime I see a postcard rack with lighthouse postcards I usually buy five of each for trading purposes. If anybody would like to trade cards, let me know. I will match the number sent to me and send that amount to you. If you are looking for any particular lighthouses, let me know. Most of my cards are from the New England area including Long Island NY.

I also would like to trade lighthouse photos. All my prints are 4x6 glossies of the lights also in the New England area. My email address is BIRI97@aol.com

Hi Jake,

I also collect antique postcards, but I limit myself to New England. I occasionally pick up cards from other areas for trading, etc.

You may want to check a post I made in the General Forum. It is titled "Interesting Postcard". It appears to have been written by a lightkeepers wife. Very interesting to find that one.
