Buy the curio now.

Everytime I get enough money to go furniture shopping, another H/L looks at me and says "take me home". I am still using a bookshelf, but my collection keeps growing. I have never been a collector of anything before but his bug seems to have bitten hard. The people here make it so much fun to hunt for specific pieces and rejoice with me when a good deal is found, that I just can't stop myself.

Welcome and have a great time.

You will be in WACKO in no time. I have been a member for three years now and had to limit my collection to areas of the US so that I would be able to eat, pay rent, and buy HL. There is one more aspect to this collecting and that is being able to travel and photograph lights all over the world. Hold on to your hat and enjoy the roller coaster ride of finding retired pieces that are at retail price. It will be the ride of your life.

I'm a newbie too. (Six weeks since my first HL). My curio cabinet was delivered just yesterday. Buy one large enough to hold many pieces, have adjustable shelves and be able to have shelves added later. In no time I went from one piece to 23. My cabinet is almost full, but I can adjust the height of the shelves and add at least two more shelves when needed.

Welcome parritone and Joanne
You've come to the right place to find out about
HL.

parritone, Joanne gave you some good advice.
I also suggest you check out the Tips Sheet
forum here. It has alot of valuable info
on features to look for when shopping for a
curio as well as some great suggestions on
displaying our favorite collectible.

Debbie

Lets figure this out. Should you buy a curio? Well if you buy the curio, that money could have been spent on a couple more HL's but you need a place to store the HL's. OK, maybe delay the house payment, that's a couple curios and a bunch of HL's or the car payment (they can wait another week), even more HL's! And then there's the credit cards, oooooooohhhhhh. Birthday!!!! Christmas!!!! Anniversary!!!! Keep them coming! We don't need that gas payment it's summer. Buy a cow, plant a garden, and use the grocery money for more HL's. Let's see, now we need another curio, aahh the electric bill! Well, I could go on and on but I'm late for my therapy appointment. Welcome and enjoy, it's a wonderful addiction.

Either cabinets or shelves. There are not enough flat surfaces otherwise. Beloxi is one of my favorites. If it withstood Camile, it should be on the historical record.

Welcome to Wackomania. You have it whether you know it or not.\
