It has been a while since I have posted here. I would like to share with you my section covering the rescue equipment of the US Life-Saving Service. This section can be found by following this link.

http://www.beachbum.homestead.com/LifeSavingStations.html

You will see the Rescue Equipment link in the left hand colum.

Also, there is an update for the Currtiuck Beach LSS as well, complete with recent photos.

Thanks for the update, Stephen. Looks like I'll need to set aside a bit of time to read thru all the info you have accumulated and shared.

Stephen, you have done an excellent job with coverage of information on life-saving stations. I now use your site as a point of reference.

Thanks to the information you have gathered, I was able to find the Currituck LSS Friday when I rode down the beach with my family. They indulged me while I climbed up the dunes to get my photos! laugh Didn't get quite as close as you since they were waiting, but I was thrilled to see it. Hope to have a chance to download my photos tomorrow.

Thanks so much!

Judy

A first-class website for a topic not covered much on the Internet. You've put a lot of hours into it. Thanks -- and stay in touch here.

Really fascinating! I've learned a lot today. You have a pretty terrific website and great photographs. I was really sorry to see the damage done to the shoreline at Boca Grande, one of my favorites, by Hurricane Charley - and the destruction of the two cisterns by the lighthouse. Thanks for all the great information.

Judy,

Did you go up to Wash Woods as well?
